I read Nat’s post about digital natives.

My teacher utopia about education would be, a classroom full of engaged and enthusiastic students with whom I, as a teacher, would have an instant rapport. Discipline woud be a non-issue and we could all participate in higher order thinking, in a creative environment. The art room would be well appointed, with lots of natural light and have excellent resources for art practice. I wish to encouraged and inspired innovative thought amongst my students, that would, carry them beyond the four walls of the classroom and into all aspects of their lives.

The life of a beginning teacher is thwart with obstacles. How do we negotiate the curriculum that works best for our students.
